Organic single origin coffees from cloud forest communities. A coffee actively works to address deforestation and climate change through reforestation and conservation. This is in fact the first coffee of its kind to mitigate the climate change impact of the product by using carbon credits from the coffee farmers themselves. It’s also the first coffee in the UK with its own carbon credit number, which, when entered into Google, takes the customer straight to the reforestation project, providing 100 per cent traceability to origin.

A 101Vision about Climate Change Coffee. Cristina Talens has now launched Climate Change Coffee, at the fine food show in Olympia, London. CLevel has supported this with this film. This is a pioneering example of what is being called carbon insetting. We can now buy really fine single estate ground coffee - where the carbon footprint of the coffee has been calculated and offset by reforestation done by the coffee growing communities themselves. The first Source Coffee, La Sierra Cloud Forest is carbon balanced and includes a payment to the smallholder coffee farmers of La Sierra, Mexico, for their environmental stewardship. It includes beans from coffee farms operating within the Plan Vivo Standard. http://sourcesustainable.co.uk
