Our Patrons support our efforts to promote sustainable business and tackle climate change. Thanks to their help we are able to run our annual Sustainable Business Awards and deliver our Let’s Do Net Zero training programme and other initiatives and opportunities.
Training SMEs to meet Net Zero – supported by Patrons
Back in 2019 we noticed that, despite good intentions, many small businesses were missing the opportunity to properly engage with the drive to meet net zero. To help our members embrace this challenge we created our Let’s Do Net Zero programme.
The programme offers bite sized directions to get our members moving on their net zero journey. The Blue Patch Let’s Do Net Zero programme teaches the basic terminology, how to gather and compare data and how to use a carbon calculator to set and achieve carbon reduction targets. We help to bridge the knowledge gap and make carbon reduction both measurable and doable, so that no small business need be left behind in the race to net zero.
The Let’s Do Net Zero series so far has been fantastic. We had been feeling completely discombobulated by the whole thing and how to navigate our journey to Net Zero. The Blue Patch Lets Do Net Zero programme breaks it down into manageable, meaningful chunks to get us on our way. Thanks so much for putting this together: it’s brilliant!

The Blue Patch Sustainability Awards – supported by Patrons
The annual Blue Patch Sustainability Awards launched in 2016 and embraces Environment, Heritage, New Business and Community projects.
We publish portraits of the winners and finalists in Blue Patch’s publication Positive Shopping which reached 36,000 households in 2022. The awards celebrate diversity, equality and inclusion, providing a platform for emerging talent.
