Established in 1985, A Shade Above is a family business with Fiona Blake at the helm and directors’ Pat and Martin Blake.
As a company we are about making sure our product and our service meets and exceeds expectations. Every bespoke job we do is completed with consideration, experience and care. Our workmanship is based around the premise that if it isn’t beautiful and if it isn’t perfect it doesn’t leave the studio. The Shade Above team is a talented, passionate, experienced bunch. Our team hail from a range of backgrounds such as tailoring, leatherworking, book binding, hat making and window dressing and have spent years learning the craft of lampshade making with us here at A Shade Above.
