The Centre for Sustainable Energy (CSE) is a national charity supporting people and organisations across the UK to tackle the climate emergency and end the suffering caused by cold homes. We do this by sharing our knowledge, practical experience and policy insights. Our vision is a world where sustainability is second nature, carbon emissions are cut to safe levels and fuel poverty has been replaced by energy justice. Reducing carbon emissions rapidly to virtually zero is vital. Being able to afford to keep warm in winter is a basic right for everyone. It’s unacceptable that some people have to choose between heating their home and eating. We’ve been tackling the root causes of cold homes for over 40 years. Every month, our advice service helps thousands of people to reduce their bills, access benefits and insulate their homes. Our energy advice changes lives, helps improve people’s mental and physical health and cuts carbon emissions. Communities, local councils and energy companies partner with us to target and support people at risk of fuel poverty.
