The demand for a cheaper and simpler way to carbon footprint an organisation was identified by Will Richardson and Emma Littlewood at Green Element, a successful Environmental Management Consultancy set up by Will in 2014. Over the years they noticed that many organisations would love to be greener but were held back by the initial time and financial barriers. In 2017, they used over 20 years of sustainability experience to develop Compare Your Footprint to semi-automate the carbon footprint process using a comprehensive software platform. Since the launch of Compare Your Footprint, the team have been able to significantly reduce the cost of carbon emissions assessment and help organisations of all sizes and industries to get started or continue on their environmental journey. Our software is a high quality and cost-effective tool to measure and track the carbon footprint of an organisation's entire operations, products and supply chain. With the additional benefit of access to a team of experts to highlight carbon hotspots and create realisable science-based net-zero route maps with achievable emissions reductions strategies. Here's how you use the software in three easy steps: 1. ENTER YOUR DATA Upload your data from energy, water, waste, travel, freight, manufacturers, materials purchase, cloud host providers and much more. The more data the better. Once you have your first year of data it will be much simpler from then on to update each reporting period. 2. WE CALCULATE YOUR CARBON RESULTS In the past this was the hard part as needed to be done on spreadsheets by costly consultants. We now complete it all for you to create your organisation’s scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions reports. 3. COMPARE YOUR FOOTPRINT Now you know your carbon footprint, use your baseline to identify your carbon hotspots, set targets and compare results year-on-year, or more regularly, to monitor your progress.

Each of our employees commits a day a month to help a charity, ideally local. We also conduct our own environmental management system to embed best practice into our own organisation an make sure we 'walk the talk'. We only select suppliers who share our social and environmental values.
