We have been moving people and businesses for over 50 years, and understand that no two projects are the same. As our client base and understanding of the market grew, so did we. In November 2018 we cemented our commitment to the workplace change sector by announcing the acquisition of Premier Workplace Services, a leading provider in the UK workplace change category.
With a 20+ year track record, Premier Workplace Services was a recognised leader within the industry, bringing an established blue-chip customer base and an unrivalled sustainable approach to the sector.
Since uniting Crown Workspace and Premier Workplace Services, we are able to provide our clients with a developed and enhanced service offering.
We all have an opportunity to reduce our impact on the environment. As a leading provider in circular office solutions, we can support you whether you are having an office clear-out, relocating, refurbishing, or expanding your team. This is done with a focus on reducing your impact on the environment, and following the waste hierarchy of resell, renew and donate.
Our award-winning Renew Centre is the UK’s leading independent, commercial facility dedicated to remanufacturing, refurbishing and repairing desks, chairs and office furniture. Our circular services are recognised as market-leading, and our Renew Centre is much-toured by clients, academics, journalists and furniture designers. The Renew Centre was selected by the global IKEA design team to learn about furniture remanufacturing and more sustainable solutions.
Our climate and the environment
Net zero climate action
Crown UK & Ireland have set the ambitious target of net-zero for Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2040 (relative to a 2019 baseline), with interim goals of a 45% reduction by 2025, and 65% reduction by 2030. These targets are in line with the Paris Agreement and keeping temperature increases to within 1.5 degrees Celsius.
We have made a commitment to switch to renewable energy across our entire estate and are investing in solar panels and energy reduction technologies across our estates.
We are quantifying and setting robust targets for our scope 3 emissions in 2022
Delivering community and social value
We make a big effort to have a positive impact in society, making our communities stronger as we grow. This is integrated into our business, from what we do to how we do, and we empower our employees to make a difference:
Creating new green and skilled jobs
Our circular approach to our business and services increases employment, creates the need for a more skilled workforce and enables us to provide apprenticeship opportunities.
Supporting those in need
Our donation initiative The Giving Back Project provides significant financial and wellbeing benefits to charities, schools and social enterprises. It helps provide the tools to assist the most vulnerable into work and helps alleviate the huge problem of furniture poverty in the UK.
Fundraising and volunteering for charities
We have close connections with many charities and fundraise in many forms. We provide our workplace services and used products at discounted rates where we are unable to donate. Our staff are all given a day off a year to volunteer at a charity close to their heart.
