Our Business Awards are now closed for judging. Thank you all for your marvellous entries – how on earth are the judges going to make a decision, everyone deserves to win!
SME or fledgling business operating in the British Isles are encouraged to enter one or more of our business categories:
New Business Award – If you have a new business (under 2 years old).
New Heritage Award – For young businesses using traditional production methods and techniques (under 5 years old).
Social Impact Award – For socially minded businesses aiming to make a difference to their local communities and the environment.
Sustainable Innovation Award – For businesses with a cutting edge idea that will save energy, reduce carbon, encourage a circular economy and protect the planet.
Female Business Leader Award – For businesses headed by women who are achieving greatness.
Global Impact Award – for businesses based in the British Isles that are working with international communities, creating ethical partnership and good supply chain management.
The People’s Prize – We’ll take the shortlisted candidates from every category and put them to popular vote via social media. The People’s Prize will be awarded at the event in Autumn.
We’re looking for exciting and interesting entrepreneurs and businesses across the British Isles. So don’t be shy. Put your business out there!
This is a friendly competition designed to encourage participation and support within the business community.
The nomination period starts on the 1st May and the deadline for applications is 12pm on the 24th of July.
Shortlist announced on 1st August. Winners will be selected in August.
Meet our judges
All shortlisted applicants will be showcased on the Blue Patch website for judging. Shortlisted applicants that are not currently Blue Patch members will receive an (optional) subsidised one-year Blue Patch Membership (Foundation) at the price of £30*. Existing members who are shortlisted will receive a £30 discount towards their next year’s membership. *Candidates shortlisted for both New Business Awards categories will receive a one-year Foundation membership for free.
Prizes
The Awards presentation will take place at The London Design Fair, Tent, London, September 21st – 24th where winners will be invited to attend and have their work ‘on screen’ during the London Design Fair ‘Super Talks‘ in the auditorium. Please join us on September 21st at 5pm to celebrate.
The winners of each category will also receive a one-year Enterprise Membership and special promotional feature.
The application criteria:
You must be manufacturing, making, producing or providing a service in the British Isles and have an interest in sustainability.
