Promoting Positive Business

Blue Patch is a community for sustainably-minded business owners who want to support the UK’s successful transition to clean energy and meeting net zero by 2050.
Whether you are already working on your environmental and social responsibility, or need help to begin doing so, we would love to welcome you on board!
Why is net zero important?
The science shows clearly that in order to avert the worst impacts of climate change and preserve a livable planet, global temperature increase needs to be limited to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels. (…) emissions need to be reduced by 45% by 2030 and reach net zero by 2050.
United Nations: Climate Action
A pathway to emissions reduction
We are a supportive, friendly community and will guide you onto the pathway in a way that is appropriate to your business, resources and progress to date. Each journey is unique and every step you take is a reason to celebrate, starting with how to monitor and reduce your energy consumption.
Net zero means cutting carbon emissions to a small amount of residual emissions that can be absorbed and durably stored by nature and other carbon dioxide removal measures, leaving zero in the atmosphere.
United Nations: Climate Action.
Blue Patch further supports UK transition by investing surplus revenue in community-owned renewable energy projects across the country. Interest helps fund our education programme. Our commitment .

Testimonials
Net Zero training
Blue Patch’s workshop was very insightful. It was great to hear about ESG and the impact it will have on businesses. It was also great to interact and learn from other attendees. The session was eye-opening and I would highly recommend it to others.

Manchester Art Gallery is very happy to be hosting Blue Patch at the gallery, as part of our drive to support a more sustainable and ethical economy and switch to an ecologically sound way of life. The gallery has always had a role as a kind of ‘regulator valve’ as Manchester has grown from a town to a super city, championing the role of both ethics and aesthetics in the development of a healthy society. Manchester has set a zero carbon target for 2038 and this project underlines our commitment to achieving this goal, and at the same time supports the growth of community owned green energy across the land.
Alistair Hudson, Director of Manchester Art Gallery, 2018 – 2022.
Ruskin reminds manufacturers that the things they make and how they make them determines the nature of everyone’s world. The attention to thoughtful manufacture by Blue Patch makers makes them champions of social justice and environmental responsibility. That they achieve this by creating products of inspiring beauty is all the more remarkable. We are delighted to have Blue Patch at Brantwood.
Howard Hull, Director, Brantwood, 2024
In 2023 we applied for an Innovate UK grant. As a requirement for the application, we required a large company to partner with us. Blue Patch made introductions to the correct people in a very short space of time. As a result we won the grant. It has been a great journey which started with a simple phone call 🙂 Thank you Blue Patch

Well done Blue Patch for being on the leading edge of the curve and thanks for promoting Laura’s Loom. I have to say of all the groups I’ve joined, the only group that I feel really cares about my business is Blue Patch. You’re always finding ways to help promote your members in a way that I’ve never experienced with any other marketing group. It makes being a member more than worthwhile, so thanks for that too.
Laura, Laura’s Loom. Member since 2017
