The morning of November 10th saw a stream of women arriving at the doorstep of Blue Patch HQ for yet another one of our delicious breakfast mornings.
On offer were perfectly baked slices of baguette from Christopher’s Bakery which we are so lucky to have right down the road from us. The baguette was accompanied by pots of delicious strawberry jam and heavenly salted caramel sauce made by Alice of Brambleberry Jams, washed down with mugs of coffee and tea. The tableware was made by Denby Pottery – we love the earthy and natural tones of the pieces.
We do these business breakfasts for two reasons. One, it’s rather nice to catch up with our members and see what they’ve been up to. Two, and perhaps the more important one, is that working on your own can be rather isolating and sometimes all one needs is a morning away from the workshop to recharge one’s batteries. Here, we offer friendly business and marketing advice, opportunities, brainstorming sessions, sounding boards and if needed, an ear to listen with.

Can you spot the baguettes from Christopher’s? Note the Fleetwood Fox rug decorating the floor.
No two breakfasts contain the same mixture of people, and there are usually some non-members invited for variety!
This time we had Natalia from QEST, Melanie Callender, our brilliant stand designer who put together the Blue Patch stand for London Design Fair, Natalie from Enbee Architecture and Design, Naomi from Naomi Purkiss Boutique, Zarina from We Buy Your Buggy, Chloe from Stripey Squirrel, Faye Canning, Alessandra from TerreVerdi, Carol from SaboonAlee, Katie Allen and Vanessa from Copper Dust. Some of the members brought along samples of their wares, so we were able to have a little show-and-tell!

Some bubbly with your strawberries? The quilt in the background is a By Lisa Watson creation.
We would love to see you at one of our Blue Patch breakfasts. Email us if you’d like to know about the next one!
