Blue Patch, the UK’s sustainable business community, joins forces with design consultant, Roddy Clarke, to present ‘Homes with a Heart’ at the London Design Fair.
The Blue Patch stand 1B41 at the London Design Fair, 21-24 Sept, at the Truman Brewery, London will showcase the beauty of a sustainably styled home, in collaboration with Roddy Clarke. ‘Homes with a Heart’ is a consciously curated collection of designs and products with a strong purpose, narrative and commitment to demonstrate that there is no compromise on aesthetics when opting for responsibly produced and manufactured products for the home.
Finding the beauty in traditional crafts and small-batch, circular production lines, produced by Blue Patch members will provide a glimpse into the individual stories behind each design. By investing with intent when decorating and styling a home, and contributing to a future design world, the values of circularity and longevity remain a priority, shifting us away from the harmful impacts of mass consumerism and linear production models.

Roddy Clarke:
“Through sharing the passion and stories behind each product, and the conscious commitment of each designer, we can fill our homes with products which not only last a lifetime but allow us to feel connected to our spaces more than ever before. We can discover the craft behind each piece and can even meet the maker directly, transporting the narratives directly into our own interiors.”

“Driving us away from mass-market alternatives, Blue Patch is allowing us to discover brands with a purpose and a true commitment to a positive future ahead. More than ever before, as we go through unsettling times, we need to find comfort within the way we furnish and decorate our spaces. So, by connecting to makers and smaller, independent brands directly, we can create a home which has heart, adding to the stories of each piece and investing in designs and products that reflect our own individual values.”
